Stacey is an accounting graduate of the NSCC, and the owner of Stacey Mailman Accounting Services. It’s a local business-accounting services firm, she started in 2007. She employs 2 full time employees, and provides a long list of services for businesses of all sizes, here on the South Shore. Stacey has worked and played in the Bridgewater area all her life and is proud to be raising a family here as well.

Also Stacey is the co-owner, with her husband, Michael, of Edge Of Town Auto Repair Ltd. It’s an auto repair shop located on in Hebbville, just on the “edge of town”. Together they share extensive backgrounds in the automotive industry, enjoy the challenges of entrepreneurship and strive to be considered as trusted and honest in both industries.

Stacey is also currently serving as Treasurer on the Senior Wheels Association Board of Directors. It has been a great introduction to the workings of a board, meeting procedures along with being pleasantly surprised with all the good that is being done in Bridgewater for the seniors and disabled. She notes, the wisdom of the directors continues to be valuable & respectfully appreciated by her.

Stacey has been fortunate to meet and do business with many small business owners & professionals on the south shore over the last 25 years, but has joined our board because she’s on the hunt to meet more!

She’s proud to begin serving on our board of directors, because she knows that we can have a positive impact on the future development of our business community. She’s ready to have the conversations about how to combat tradesperson shortages, embrace immigrants, appreciate our business owners & allow them to be the motivators for our local high school & college graduates... and much more!

Her interests are to support small & medium sized businesses to overcome some of their biggest obstacles faced in our local market. By being activity in her business community, she’s building on these interests and ensuring more businesses start, grow & thrive in our area. She’s a believer in creating an economy where our children can get educated, and stay to here to raise their families.

MEET the BOARD-Jayme Rhyno

Following our AGM on June 13 2019, The Chamber would like to welcome Jayme Rhyno to our Board of Directors. Here is a little bit about Jayme

"I'm a second-generation business owner of Rhyno's on North Street which was established in 1976 by my father. I first started working in the family business in my early childhood (my family jokes that I was fixing dishwashers before I could talk) and then officially took over as President in 2008.

I hold by Red Seal in Refrigeration (since 2006). I'm also a volunteer firefighter with the Upper Northfield Fire Department (since 2003). I've lived on the South Shore all my life - I grew up in Riverport then moved to Crescent Beach and I currently reside in Lower Northfield. This area has always been my home and I'm very much committed to Bridgewater being a hub for the business community, a place where local businesses feel supported and can thrive.

I'm proud to be serving on the board of directors and to have the opportunity to collaborate with other local business owners who have a strong desire to further develop, grow & expand the business community in Bridgewater."

Meet the Board - Debra Porter

Meet the Board-Debra Porter
Debra was born and raised in the Annapolis Valley, the youngest of 15 siblings. My partner, Mark Pearson and I have been living in Bridgewater for a total of 11 years. The Valley has been home for most of my life, my office is still in New Minas and Halifax, with a mobile office in the South Shore. While still traveling to the Valley 3-4 times a week and always loving to visit the South Shore prior to moving here, I now get to enjoy it even more.

The best of both worlds is the way I see it. I've been in real estate for approx. 24 years; with a deep desire to be self-employed while helping others; Real Estate seemed like the right fit. And today, looking back, I couldn't be happier. I value the relationships I build with each and every person I do business with. In any transaction, working with an agent who is personable, reliable, hard working, & always available at a moment's notice is an asset in our market.

While covering the South Shore and Valley (sometimes Halifax) I also found a little more time to work our Driver Training business in Bridgewater. Complete Driving has allowed me to meet even more people and it is such fun to see young people (people of many ages) achieve their goals. If you have any questions regarding real estate or driver training, give me, Debra Porter, a call. 902.679-4657.
